    • Of 17 New Car's I've Owned This One Is the BEST

I have been driving since 1969 and have owned 17 new vehicles since. A number of them premium vehicles. This is the first vehicle I've ever owned that I've found to be 100% pure joy. The seats are premium to the core. Comfortable beyond anything I've sat in including a top Volvo I owned which I thought had the best seats ever. The overall ergonomic design is near genius and unlike the Tesla I sat in made so much more sense. The ride quality is near sumptuous as it soaks up road defects very nicely indeed but still handles unlike ANY SUV is capable of without leaning into turns, so it's a real fun driving experience. I felt the Infotainment system to be a joy as well. The sound is a definite step beyond the previous 2020 Tiguan SEL I owned. All the features accessible from the screen is very extensive to say the least and easy to navigate. The AC and even the heat are surprisingly effective delivering either cold or heat on demand, NO waiting. The lights are something else altogether. I have the Pro S and the front lights follow where you are steering for best view. Also some light is spread out to the sides of the vehicle for even a better idea what you are driving into and near. The poor weather light option in the menu (which takes the place of a fog light) is another world of view. Cuts right through ground fog and yet provides even more actual light to the road as well. The storage space is tremendous and there is NO such need for a so called "frunk" which frankly will compromise the front end collision safety. VW also carefully designed it's front end in this manner to allow for superior safety both for the passengers as well as a person that might be hit by it. At 85mph it is near whisper quiet where you can easily hold a conversation or near your music or news on the radio without that annoying engine buzz. Electric has changed my life for the better. My average costs for a so called full charge from 20% to 90% is just over $4.00, a far cry from an equivalent charge for the gas of over $70.00. All I can say is one test drive will convince the majority of folks that this is THE alternative to all other types of vehicles. I test drove a Mach E Ford and along with a Tesla felt the ride quality was definitely better with the VW. There are a lot more dealers to deal with for VW as well which was also a factor.

This is a great car for highway driving. I get about 200 miles when driving at 80 mph and fully charged to 100%. Cruise control is fantastic. When you catch up to a slower driver it automatically slows you down to their speed and at a nice distance behind them. If they are courteous and move over then it goes back to your selected speed. The sun roof, when closed, still lets in some sun so here in Arizona you can feel your head getting warm. The car is extremely quiet and comfortable. Getting used to everything electronic does take some getting use to. 1 button can have several functions and figuring it out takes some patience. We have special EV pricing from our power company between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am. So far I’m paying about $2.40 for 100 miles. The 110 volt charger that comes with the car is pretty useless. You get a whole 2-3 miles per hour. I purchased a level 2 charger that plugs into my 220 volt dryer outlet and get 20 miles per hour. All in all a great car so far.

The most technology in any car I have ever owned, the 3 years of free charging is a great bonus. The ride is smooth and very quite. Range of over 250 miles is great and I don't miss going to the gas station.
